WHO WE ARE Communicative Medical was founded in 1991 by Brian Shute, Ph.D., CCC, a Speech-Language Pathologist practicing in Spokane, Washington. Brian's patients were laryngectomees, people with multiple sclerosis, spasmodic dysphonia, vocal fold paralysis, Parkinson's, stroke, and others who had lost all or partial use of their voices. He realized that there was a need for his patients to have a place to go where their special medical supply needs were understood. Since that time, Communicative Medical has been supplying people all over the world with artificial larynx devices and related products and information. In 2004 Communicative Medical was purchased by the current owners and is a family run business. We have continued to follow our founder's lead serving those with special communication needs while expanding on the products we offer to better serve our customers and their friends and loved ones. |
